Who we are
SAADA (Seattle Asian American Dance Association)
is a nonprofit organization based in the United States, dedicated to cultural exchange, healing, and community connection through dance and embodied practices.
We believe that dance is more than performance — it is a language for self-awareness, emotional expression, and human connection.
Rooted in Asian cultural traditions and informed by contemporary movement practices, SAADA serves people of diverse ages and backgrounds, with a special focus on youth, families, and communities with unique needs.
Our programs include public benefit dance classes, youth arts development, cross-cultural artistic events, and somatic movement practices that support physical and emotional well-being.
Across all our work, we emphasize respect for individual differences, patient and progressive learning, and the creation of safe, inclusive spaces.
SAADA’s teaching team consists of experienced dance professionals who work closely with local communities, schools, and public institutions.
Through movement, we aim to share cultural knowledge, nurture emotional resilience, and explore the healing potential of the body.
We envision dance not only as something performed on stage,
but as a meaningful practice that supports well-being, understanding, and connection in everyday life.
