Inheritance of Culture: The Youth Division

Mission

Here at SAADA The Youth Division is an integral part of the organization and our mission, in promoting and preserving the millennia of deeply interconnected Chinese culture. Through dance we wish to uphold both strong technical foundations and cultural depth, but most importantly a sense of responsibility in transmitting heritage and origin. Within our group of  dancers we hope to showcase the devotion of youth to the continuity of traditional culture as well as the ability to foster cross cultural understanding.

文化传承:青少年部

使命:在SAADA,青少年部是组织的重要组成部分,肩负着推广和传承源远流长、紧密交织的文化遗产的使命。

通过舞蹈,我们致力于兼顾扎实的技术基础与深厚的文化内涵,同时最重要的是培养传承文化的责任感。在我们的舞者团队中,我们希望展现青少年对传统文化延续的热忱,以及促进深度跨文化比较研究的能力.


Volunteer Hours/Opportunities

At our dance school, students can earn volunteer hours by taking part in cultural events and community projects outside of regular classes. These include things like performing at Lunar New Year celebrations, joining cultural heritage festivals, or helping with museum collaborations that promote traditional dance and culture. Students can also volunteer by assisting with workshops, rehearsals, or event setup. These opportunities let dancers share their heritage, build experience, and give back to the community through the art of dance.

志愿服务时间/机会

在我们的舞蹈学校,学生可以通过参与各类课外文化活动和社区项目来获得志愿服务时数。这些活动包括在春节庆典、文化遗产节、社区文化活动中表演,或参与与博物馆、文化机构的合作项目,以推广和传播传统舞蹈与文化。通过这些实践,学生不仅能够展示专业技能,还能在真实的社区环境中提升表达与合作能力。

此外,学生也可以通过协助排练、教学工作坊、活动准备及现场支持等方式参与志愿服务。这些机会帮助学生了解活动组织流程,培养责任感和团队精神,同时为社区文化建设做出实际贡献。我们的目标是让学生在志愿服务中将艺术学习与社会参与相结合,既促进个人成长,也推动传统文化的传承与发展。

Leadership

Our dance school’s leadership system is based on a graduation order to ensure fairness and experience. The oldest students serve as President, Vice President, and Secretary, while younger members rotate through other roles to build leadership skills and prepare for future positions. If multiple students graduate in the same year, elections will be held to decide who fills the top roles. This system promotes responsibility, teamwork, and smooth transitions in leadership.

领导力

我们的舞蹈学校实行基于毕业年级的领导制度,以确保领导团队的公平性和连续性。年级最高、经验最丰富的学生担任主席、副主席和秘书等核心职位,负责整体协调和活动管理。其他成员则轮流担任不同职务,如活动策划、宣传或团队支持,以培养领导能力并为未来主要职位做准备。

若同一年有多名学生毕业,将通过选举决定主要职务的归属。此制度既能提升学生的责任感和团队协作能力,也保证领导团队的顺利交接和持续发展。
