Event Overview

SAADA was invited to participate in a community cultural event hosted by the City of Sammamish, bringing together hands-on arts activities and live dance performances for local families and residents.

The event combined interactive cultural experiences with staged performances, creating an open and welcoming space for people of all ages to engage with movement, creativity, and cultural expression.

Community Arts & Hands-On Activities

SAADA hosted an interactive arts booth where children and families participated in creative, hands-on activities inspired by traditional cultural motifs.

These activities encouraged:

  • Curiosity and creative exploration

  • Parent–child interaction

  • Accessible cultural learning through making and play

The booth attracted a steady flow of families throughout the event and served as an entry point for many first-time participants to connect with SAADA.

🎭 Dance Performances

As part of the event program, SAADA presented multiple dance performances featuring youth and adult dancers.

The performances showcased:

  • Classical Chinese dance elements

  • Contemporary movement interpretations

  • Collaborative group choreography

For youth dancers, the performance provided valuable stage experience and an opportunity to build confidence, discipline, and teamwork.
Adult dancers and instructors demonstrated dance as a lifelong practice and a form of cultural and personal expression.
